August 2020

Dear Edison Families,

First, my thanks to all our students, families, and staff members for your understanding and patience during this time.  Our students are first and foremost  as we plan for the reopening of school keeping in mind their safety, health and welfare.

The school year starts August 21st.  All students will start out with remote learning.  I can assure you that you can count on us to keep you informed, address concerns, and ensure that your children have the tools necessary to be successful, no matter the learning platform.

During remote learning, you will see daily live interaction with your child’s teacher and classmates, as well as detailed lessons planned for your child to participate in, when not participating in live instruction.

Teachers are excited to connect with their students. Information regarding the distribution of schedules, textbooks, and devices will be coming soon.  Please be on the lookout for more information through DOJO or email.

We are looking forward to continuing the strong partnership with you to support our students to help them achieve at their highest potential.  We understand that this school year is like no other and the stress that the pandemic is having is challenging for all of us.  We appreciate all you are doing to support us and your child’s education.

Please feel free to reach out to us with any further questions.  We get updates daily regarding procedures and practices. Rest assured we will do our best to keep you informed.

Respectfully,
Dr. Jan Bernard
Principal
