About the Principal
Hello, Edison Community!
I am excited to get the new, 22-23 school year underway! When speaking to the kindergartners who were here for Jump Start before the school year, I told them that I am new at Edison just like them. I said we would be working together to get to know about the school and how things work, and they agreed to help.
As the new principal, I know I have some big shoes to fill. I’ll definitely have a longer commute than Dr. Bernard, and I am sure we’ll continue to have a great impact on the students and families we serve at Edison.
In the 21-22 school year, I got to know the district a bit and loved being the Assistant Principal at Lincoln. Prior to that, I served as Assistant Principal in Buffalo Grove, Oswego, and Asheville, North Carolina–all at middle schools. I began my career in education in 2009 as a School Counselor at Holy Trinity High School in Chicago. I bring well-rounded experience that includes SEL, academics, and the ability to build relationships with all types of stakeholders.
I live in Buffalo Grove with my wife, a fellow school administrator, and three kids: Jonah (12), Cameron (9), and Ruby (7). We keep busy with soccer, rehearsals, after school activities, enjoying the outdoors, going to movies, and…lots of laundry.
Parents I have worked with in the past have complimented my communication style, student advocacy, willingness to listen & problem-solve, and level-headedness. I believe we are partners in the education of your children. I look forward to serving the Edison community and learning how the school can support you.
